After a hectic morning rushing around, packing the car and shoving as much in as we could into the Trunki, we finally set off to North Wales.
Scarlett was a dream in the car, sleeping for an hour and being extremely well behaved for the rest. Although before we'd even left our street we had her first swear word, Pete's fault entirely! We had 'oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t' over and over again, well I suppose it had to happen one day.
With about 15 minutes to go until we arrived, we got shouts of 'feel sick, feel sick' from the back. Luckily we had no sick but we've discovered she gets travel sick. The joys!
We had a few tears when we got in the caravan - tiredness had kicked in after a 5.30am wake up call - these parents who's children sleep for 16 hours a night, they lie!!
As soon as we walked in the caravan she asked to go home, but after tea and a bath she soon settled in and actually asked, for the first time ever, could she go to bed. We used the Child's Farm products of Tangerine bubble bath, orange body wash, strawberry shampoo and grapefruit hair detangler. She smelled beautiful and I've got to say the hair detangler has worked a dream on her hair. I'll definitely buy that again. Scarlett keeps wanting me to take the lids off as she loves the smell of them all.
It was a bit of a nightmare getting her to stay in bed but she finally dropped off and we're now enjoying pizza and cider with hopefully a peaceful evening ahead.
Next time... Messy play!
