North Wales - fun, sun, chilly!

Our week is almost over but what an entertaining week it's been, Scarlett has loved every minute and I just wish she was at an age where she'd remember some of it.

We have stayed at a Haven site, Hafan y Mor and I can't fault it. The kids characters are full of fun and now we're at the end of the week Scarlett has certainly taken to Anxious the Elephant.

We've had barbecues, picnics, teas out and numerous ice-creams, I think my gym membership needs digging out for next week. Seriously, my weight has soared and I feel like a balloon. I've not been happy with how I look since I had Scarlett but now she's 2 1/2 I can't really blame pregnancy anymore!!

I certainly recommend the mountain railway trip to Ffestiniog, we had glorious weather and Scarlett loved the 'Choo, Choo ride.' It's about 1h 30 minutes and although quite expensive we had a full day out and had an extremely worn out, but happy, little girl at the end.

We also visited Portmeirion but the weather was damp and grey, luckily we'd visited there before so didn't feel as though we'd missed out, we really just went so Scarlett could go on the tractor/ train. One day me and Pete are going to come and stay at the hotel, there's a special offer on for November of £130 per couple for a night, so watch this space as to whether we book.

All in all we've had a lovely week here, there's so much to do and see that you could never get bored. I love going on holiday, whether it be in this country or abroad - now, where's the travel brochures for September?

Next time... Nursery Place??
