Packing & Organising

Amidst packing for the holiday the weather turned glorious so yesterday we had a great day in the garden. But who else spends more time running in and out of the house for stuff instead of enjoying the sunshine? We'd not been outside two minutes before I decided Scarlett needed sun cream on. Then we had further trips in for two changes of nappy, drinks, a sun hat, changing from trousers to shorts, then I got changed, my sunglasses, more drinks, the scooter, the tent and finally dolly and her bath - at this point we'd been outside only 15 minutes!!

We had good fun eventually though, with the doll's having a party in the tent and me and Scarlett were on homemade ice lollies - a great invention from Annabel Karmel, the lolly mould even comes with it's own holder for them to put the lolly in instead of it getting put on the grass/soil/table (delete as appropriate.)

Because she had shorts and sandals on yesterday she was asking for 'holiday time' every five minutes, telling her it was two days away brought on one of the arms folded and not happy stances but she soon got over it.

So now today is packing day and I don't know where to start, Scarlett is asleep which is good as I'd get nothing done if she was awake but I really must get on with it.

Scarlett is so excited about this trip, we've had songs and dancing all day today - I hope it lives up to her expectations. She's also done her first 'drawing' today - well I know its a tree, the sky, a sun and some flowers - I'll be keeping this one.

On other news our plasterer has let us down twice this week and is now coming while we're away, so we'll be coming home to lots of mess but at least things are slowly moving along. The en suite man has been to have a quick look and we've been measured up for our dressing room. I'm looking forward to no longer being surrounded by stuff and getting everything put away.

Next time ..... Journey to Wales
