I'm Back!!

One of my daughter's favourite phrases at the moment 'I'm Back!'

On Monday I suddenly remembered I'd started this blog about 18 months ago to get things off my chest and into some sort of order since my daughter - Scarlett - was born. This morning I decided to search for said blog and re-read my posts. It brought it back just how low I'd felt after her birth and in the following months. I'm happy to say that I had anti-depressants for about 6 months, including a weaning off period, and have never gone back.
I won't say that I'm in top condition but who is, when you have a demanding toddler, life and job to take care of, however I am so much happier than I was.
Anyway enough of dwelling on the past and time to look at the future.
Scarlett is now almost 2 and 1/2 and as manic as ever, she is very funny (at least we all think so) and if she doesn't end up on stage then it would be a loss to society!
We moved house exactly 1 year ago and that made a huge difference to me, I was much nearer to my Mum and it gave me so much more freedom, I am loving where we live now and the park at the bottom of my street is our regular hangout.
Scarlett is learning new words at an alarming rate - this week we've had 'Cheryl' as she heard Pete shout me the other day, and 'cereal' which is her breakfast of choice on some days - although I think it's just because she likes the word, she's also putting groups of family members together so if I tell her she may see cousin Dan today she then asks 'Ellie?' and 'Nanine?' (Nadine, my sister.)
People say that time flies by when they are this age and before I  know it she'll be at school - I don't think time has flown at all, I think the past two years have been a very long process and although I have enjoyed the majority of it, there is not one thing you could give me to make me want to relive that first 12 months. The only bit I'd like to revisit is the day she was born and I would like to remember it better but other than that propel me to her first birthday and I haven't looked back.
I love her to pieces and the 'cug cugs' she gives are the best ever although I'm not too sure about the face licks I get in the morning, Paw Patrol has a lot to answer to.
So, that's a quick update on us and hopefully I'll check in more regularly from now on.
